Hayley Orantia is an American singer, actress and performer. Her most well-known role is Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy program "The Goldbergs". However, she's primarily an avid music fan. Music is her first love, she maintains; it is something that she started dabbling into when she was just 9 years old. By the time she reached age 12, she took serious enough about music to start training professionally. She began songwriting when she was 13 and was only 14 when she recorded her first album of cover songs. From that moment on, she has never been back. Orrantia is a native of America with Hispanic roots. Though she grew up speaking only English and never lived in Mexico she is very satisfied with her Hispanic culture. Through studying Spanish and writing songs, she tries to maintain the spirit of her culture. She recorded an Spanish version of a song entitled 'Hasta Verte. Orrantia was picked to perform for the X Factor's inaugural season in the summer of the year 2011. Orrantia was selected from a YouTube video that she submitted and got the judges' four "yes" vote from judges at the time of live auditions held in Seattle, Washington. The first time she auditioned, she was solo however, during "Hollywood Week" she was put with three other female vocalists into a trio for the remainder of the auditions. They were eliminated from the show in the fifth live week.
