Hayley orrantia was born and raised in America. Her main focus is actress, but she's also a singer and songwriter. Her most well-known role is Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy show "The Goldbergs". Her definition of herself is an artist first and foremost. She maintains that music is the first thing that interests her. She is experimenting in since the age of nine years old. When she was 12 years old, music became seriously enough to warrant formal training. After experimenting with songwriting, she only recorded the album with covers at the age of fourteen. And the rest is history. Orrantia was raised in the USA, yet has Hispanic heritage. Even though she spoke only English growing up and had never been to Mexico, Orrantia is extremely happy with her Hispanic background. To preserve the heritage, she is learning Spanish. Also, she writes songs based on the language. One of her songs was the creation of a Spanish song titled 'Hasta Verte..' Orrantia tried out for The X Factor in 2011. Orrantia got the X Factor's four "yeses" from the panel of judges on the Seattle live auditions after having been selected from her YouTube video submission. The first time she auditioned, she was solo but in "Hollywood Week" she was paired together with three female singers to form a trio during the remaining auditions. The group was removed from the show during the fifth live week.
