Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was accepted as a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she learned the flute piano and harpsichord for three years. Lennox made it through on a student allowance as well as part-time jobs in order to earn a living. Lennox when she was in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy about her performances compared to the other students. Then she began to consider other options. Lennox began her career in 1976 when she was a member in the band Dragons Playground. They did not appear on the talent competition New Faces on I.T.V. She was the main singer in The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until the year 1980. She had a meeting with Dave Stewart, with whom they would create the pop duo Eurythmics. After that, Lennox started working on her first solo album Diva which was made available in the year 1992. It was a huge success both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record was released in the month of November. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs most loved blues, soul and jazz tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four improvised tracks for piano, which Lennox made available in May 2019. This E.P. The E.P. is an accompaniment to an art installation she designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You go... The album is also her first independently released album. Then, along working with Dave Stewart and other musicians she formed the Eurythmics. The year 1992 was the year Lennox began her solo career through Her debut studio album Diva and produced numerous hit songs, such as Why and Walking On Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. It contains covers of such songs as No MoreI Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Six solo studio albums together with a compilation album is hers to date.
