Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has been awarded numerous prizes for her writing and design. She has been a vocal advocate for the rights of animals. Her films are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). Her family was an artist family from New York and wanted to take up a profession in the field of art. In the beginning she was employed as an assistant in photography. Then she shifted her focus into directing and modeling. In her first two films she received recognition and won the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was one of the biggest hits that gained her fame worldwide, as well as an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. Within three years, she was named the number one female box-office participant in the entire world. The Grauman's Chinese Theater recorded her signature as well as foot prints, hand prints, and footprints in the year 1972. The actress has appeared in a variety of other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among other. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw is married three times.
